Tasty Tuesday

Tasty Tuesday is an Extension Program at the Robertson County Health Care Facility. Cooking a meal brings alive the senses of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch that may not be stimulated as much as they once were.

Cooking Through the Calendar

Cooking Through the Calendar is a monthly program at the Senior Citizen's Building. This program teaches seniors about healthy options, healthy alternatives and spotlights specific ingredients each month.

In 2004, the UK Cooperative Extension Service launched the LEAP Program - Literacy, Eating and Activity for Preschool Youth. The program is designed to help children learn healthy behaviors at a very young age. Research studies indicate that children as young as two are eating a high-fat, low-fiber diet and that less than 20% of school children eat the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables. LEAP is targeted to improving these statistics.

Laugh and Learn allows you and your child(ren) to engage in playful activities that are designed to prepare them for kindergarten. Adults and children will hear stories, sing songs, make crafts, play games, and enjoy a healthy snack during every playdate.

Crafts & Crumbs is a monthly craft program at the Robertson County Extension Office. This craft program builds community relationships and helps those involved build lasting friendships. Each Crafts & Crumbs class offers a nutritional component from Plate it Up Kentucky or Plan, Eat, Move.
